A full PIDS – Paris Image Digital Summit 2023 for the MPC teams

The PIDS is an event created by the Enghien-les-Bains Arts Centre dedicated to visual effects, bringing together the creative, technical and economic challenges of a sector in constant evolution.

The PIDS – Paris Image Digital Summit is an event where you can discover the latest trends and innovations in digital visual effects, CGI, motion capture, 3D and disruptive technologies in film, television, advertising, video games and transmedia!

The PIDS is a combination of 4 events:

The PIDS Conferences: where you can find VFX case studies, expert round tables, business discussions ‘PIDS Biz’ and Tech meetings ‘PIDS Tech’.​ Discover the full 2023 programme here.

The GENIE Awards: the Digital Creation GENIE Awards aim to honour the talents of French digital creation. Doug Chiang will be honoured at the GENIE Awards 2023. ​The list of all nominees can be found here.

The PIDS XP: discover and test 12 new innovative virtual production and VFX technologies, which are revolutionising and democratising content production for film, audiovisual and video games.​ Programme and free accreditation here.

The Job Fair: A recruitment market for VFX & animation studios. Every year, several hundred jobs are offered at the PIDS Enghien. The biggest VFX & animation studios will once again be present at PIDS Enghien with a stand on site and/or in digital.

Case Study VFX – The Serpent Queen, created by Justin Haythe (Starz TV series)
300+ VFX shots to accompany the narrative and to set the story in the reality of the 16th century.

Roundtable – SFX / MFX / VFX: the invisible links
While the rise of VFX may have worried set effects manufacturers for a while, the complementarity between physical and visual effects has been growing steadily in recent years. What are the invisible links between MFX, SFX and VFX in order to achieve an ever more perfect illusion, effects that are both spectacular and imperceptible?

MPC Paris teams are honoured to be nominated in the 3 categories Best VFX in a series, Best environment, Best FX Simulation and co-nominated with the company Excuse My French in the Best VFX in a feature film category. More information on all our nominations here.

The PIDS XP

Cap Digital joins the Paris Images Digital Summit (PIDS) 2023 and invites you to discover and test 12 new innovative technologies of virtual production and VFX, which are revolutionizing and democratizing the production of content for cinema, audiovisual and video games.

Join the MPC Paris and The Mill Paris teams on a booth during PIDS XP to discover all the technologies that allow us to deliver the most beautiful projects – including crowd generation with Golaem and Mocap, on the films The Last Duel and Totems.
